Chef Gusti Ketut Murjana
When he began his career as a cook at Koki Bali Restaurant in 1990, Chef Murjana's talent was quickly acknowledged. Eager for a new challenge, Chef Murjana moved to Bali Cliff Resort and Spa in 1993 and he finally found his calling at the Laguna, a Luxury Collection, Nusa Dua, Bali over 16 years ago.
He joined Sheraton Laguna Hotel, Bali as 1st Cook and after five years was promoted as Demi Chef de Partie. Following years of dedication, Murjana was appointed Chef De Partie. When Sheraton Laguna re-launched as The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Murjana was rewarded with the Junior Sous Chef position from 2007 and has since been promoted as Chef de Cuisine.
Without any hospitality educational background, Chef Murjana has proven that passion and confidence are able to drive people to their dream. "I work with my heart, love what I do and expect nothing in return, that leads me to my where I stand right now".
