The name Kayuputi means white wood in Indonesian. With a vision of white, its decor is perfectly modern with an elegant backdrop of the Indian Ocean. The oceanfront restaurant offers modern, refined indoor seating with romantic seaside views as well as al fresco seating with soft ocean breezes and unobstructed backdrops. Kayuputi Restaurant is fine dining inspired by the Balinese wisdom “Nyegara Gunung”, which means from the mountain to the ocean. Kayuputi showcases Pan-Asian haute cuisine featuring the finest ingredients from the land and the ocean. The culinary creations are complemented by 10 consecutive years award-winning wine list from prestigious Wine Spectator Award.

The dish was inspired from the Balinese Hindu ritual of “Nyegara – Gunung”, which is a Balinese philosophy that considers the mountains (as a symbol of ‘Purusa’ or Father) and the seas (as a symbol of “Pradhana” or Mother) as one and integral, that leads to a harmonious life.

Under his helm, the specialty restaurant Kayuputi has been known as the pinnacle of fine dining on the island of Bali. Talented and passionate and a true culinary artist, Chef Agung strives to achieve a simple yet elegant approach in curating his foods. Masterfully, he combines ingredients to create a unique gastronomy experience for discerning food connoisseurs.
