Local favorite! Sarawak laksa is essentially rice vermicelli topped with shredded omelet, cooked prawns and strips of chicken in an aromatic broth which is made of sambal belacan (shrimp paste), lemongrass, herbs and spices and coconut milk.
Umai is the Sarawak version of sashimi. This traditional delicacy consists of traditional cured local sliced fish with lime juice, onion, cucumber, fresh lettuce and calamansi.
