Chef Gerald Chong

Born and raised in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Executive Chef Gerald Chong has always been passionate and enthusiastic in the world of culinary arts, with a penchant of incorporating both local homegrown and gourmet ingredients in his cuisine. Gerald holds more than 15 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the culinary scene with stints in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia. The style and dishes on Gerald’s menu incorporate a number of influences – from his strong Chinese heritage to international culinary exposure to various fine dining cooking techniques. In addition to him receiving multiple accolades including the Gold Award for 2009 FHM – Food & Hotel Malaysia event, Chef Gerald has also assisted 2-Michelin Star Chef Emmanuel Stroobant, 2-Michelin Star Chef Takagi Kazuo and 2-Michelin Star Chef Danielle Repetti; as well as being part of the task force team at The Press Club in Melbourne, Australia, owned by chef and MasterChef Australia host George Calombaris.
